About this site

Who built this, and why

Our founder, Matthew Fong, participated and finished 2nd in the Economics Olympiad International Final, winning a gold medal. Yet he struggled to find resources while preparing for the Olympiad and all of its rounds, so he made this site to prevent future students from having this problem.

The site is free, needs no account, and every question is checked by a person before it appears.

Which competitions this is for

Econ Olympiad Prep covers two separate competitions with similar names:

• the Economics Olympiad, founded by INEV, whose rounds run from the school round to the International Final (economicsolympiad.org), and
• the International Economics Olympiad (IEO), run from the University of Bern (ieo-official.org).

Each has its own mock papers and qualifying guide. Practice questions and flashcards are shared, and every question is labelled with the competition it came from. See which olympiad is which.

Privacy in short

• You can practise, sit mocks and use flashcards without an account. Your progress stays on your device.
• An account is optional. We store only your email address.
• There are no public profiles, no leaderboards with names, no messages between users, and no advertising or tracking scripts.
• You can delete your account, and everything linked to it, at any time from your account page.
